Ham and Cheese Omelette

Ingredients 

  • 3 eggs 
  • 1 tbsp butter  
  • 30g cheddar cheese  
  • 1-2 slices of ham  
  • Salt and black pepper

Method 

  • Crack eggs into a bowl and beat and season to taste with salt and pepper.  
  • Heat butter in pan on a medium heat then add gently pour in the egg mix.  
  • Let eggs cook for a few seconds until the bottoms starts to set. Use a spatula to gently push edges into the centre, letting the uncooked egg flow to the sides. Keep repeating this until the eggs are mostly set but still soft in the middle.  
  • Grate cheese and shred ham then add to centre of the omelette and cook until cheese has melted.  
  • Increase heat and cook for a further 30 seconds or until omelette starts to brown.  
  • Fold omelette in half and remove from pan to serve.  
  • Optional: when adding ham and cheese can add in any other extras as desired (eg. chopped tomatoes, diced onions, spinach, etc.)
